Some days, on the way to the museum, instead of going through the shopping precinct I go down to Eagle St and walk the footpath along the river. This usually gives me a great view of planes departing YBBN. In among all the two-engined hotrod types, I still get to see ye olde 747s...there really is something majestic about the the way they just hang there on climbout

When watching the 747 breaking after landing from the plane watchers corner on Avonhead Rd was a amazing to watch thru binoculars ... wings really flappin !
