Nice Terry B-)

I heard from a couple of sources Nelson is a procedural airport (No radar until at or above 9,500ft) due to terrain to the east and south and the tower there tells aircraft to report positions, altitude and their intentions with increased separation requirements, more than average radar airports such as Auckland, Wellington, Woodbourne (Wellington TMA overlays and is covered by SSR).

Anyway glad to see ya still in action.

Yep, and it's very frustrating there as a pilot especially when there's bad weather in the vicinity.

Hopefully when they get the new SID's and STAR's it makes it easier.

Rumors are that the ones being stored here have corrosion issues and are high cycles so making them less desirable that others on the market. But that's only crew room rumors. :ph43r:
