I was spotting in Copenhagen Airport yesterday, and had a great time. The first bundle fo picture are taken at the "Flyvergrillen". A small fastfood shop, that is placed just outside the airport aera. Very popular place to spot airplanes.

Great to see something different, I like the close up on that A330 .

What a rare treat- thanks ever so much for sharing some shots that most of us would never get the chance to see in real life.

I think I have flown on the KLM Cityhopper Fokker when it was owned by Leisure Air (later called Air 2000)

Currently I'm planning some more trips to Kastrup. Then I'll post some approaches which is quite a nice one. The planes are coming from northeast, flying over water. then they pass a road about 7-10 seconds before touchdown. And on that road there is a great potential to get some really great shots.

He's off the runway, spoilers out, and still on reverse thrust

They were crasy. A SAS A321 landed so late on the runway that the front gear touched the ground just before getting to where I was placed. Those pilots are crasy sometime. The Korean Air Cargo also had his flaps down for a long time. A BAe 146-200 from Lufthansa taxied to takeoff with the spoilers pulled, and he just closed them before takeoff.

BTW. Have a closer look at the pictures. All the BAE 146 has the spoilers open.

The first MD-80 (OE-LMH) was a charterflight. So he's a rarity in Kastrup. The rest is almost the usual stuff. Only the B777-200 from PIA and the F-70 from KLM Cityhopper was a surprise or rarity.

If you ever are going to Denmark and will try to visit Copenhagen Airport then you'll notice that there is many MD-80's and most of them are flying for SAS. That's because SAS has placed all it's MD-80's in Denmark, while the B737's are placed in Norway and Sweden. In Norway they dislike the B737's and loves the MD-80. The opposit here in Denmark. We Dislike the MD-80 and loves the B737's.

I'm lovin all those 146's, sigh, oh for the days Ansett and then Qantas New Zealand operated them.

Nice to see some photos from outside NZ; that's an impressive array of different aircraft and airlines too.

WOW what camera are you using?

seems strange seeing so many airbuses and MD's, given NZ's Boeing dominance

You'll get more Airbus, MD and other planes since I'm going again on the 4th of May.

I'm using a Canon 350D with 70-300mm IS USM (primary) and 28-135mm IS USM (the PIA is taken with that lens (covered by a POL-filter).

I was lucky enough to fly on one last year (an MD-82 if I remember correctly) with the Croatian airline Air Adriatic; not only did the window shades say "DC-9" on them, but we disembarked via the rear airstairs too which are directly under the engines.

SAS was/is (I don't know for the moment) the largest MD-80/MD-90 operator in Europe. To day they have 47 MD-80's flying. 2 of them are flying with the "Star Alliance" livery. The rest of them in the usual SAS colors.

As one of my friends said when we had seen the first 4 of them: "I don't want to look at them anymore. I've seen to many of them already!" At that time we have been there for 15 to 20 minutes.
