This morning I met up with Daniel and his mate at the airport. I took my camera along; so snapped a few aircraft. ;)

Dash prepping for departure

Lining up runway 36

There were a couple of CTC aircraft around; CTV and CTX...

...as well as the Vincent Dash which is going to stay the night

EUD was going back and forth, a busy Saturday morning for it

And in come the Boeings, first Qantas

And 15mins later, Air New Zealand

Thats it. :)

Great Shots Alex. clapping.gif
Also look at the position of the vincent dash 8s nose wheel!
I am told that the Dash 8 is off tomorrow with some Australians on a charter to Napier.
Victor-alpha-Charlie might know more about this.

Thanks for the comments guys. :)

I'm using a Canon Eos 350D, the ones posted here are using a 55-250mm lens with a stock UV filter (except for the last which was taken with an 18-55mm Lens; no filter). It was the first real time I'd tried out that lens; it worked well.

Hamish, yea, Dan filled me in on it.

Oh I see. That does explain the great shots.

Are you happy with it as a camera? (I only ask because I'm looking into new cameras again now).

Cheers

Well, the 350D is pretty near the bottom of the Canon D-SLR product-range...

Yea, I'm pretty happy with it; although I find that the pictures turn out a lot better if you do some minimal 'post-processing' (i.e. run it through photoshop and tweak the levels/contrast). I can't really think of anything I could complain about with it though. :)

Hey, the bottom of the Range Cannon D-SLR has to be better than my Pansonic FZ8 :P
