VLC Libraries v1.2 released

Information and support relating to this forthcoming New Zealand Vector Land Class addon.

Postby Timmo » Tue May 15, 2012 12:20 pm

Version 1.2 of the free VectorLandClass object libraries has now been released on the website (Click here to download)- This update adds train locomotive and carriage models, cars, a series of half-round corrugated iron hangers, more native trees/bushes, more car garages, a JET A1 fuel pump as well as various texture and model tweaks to existing items.

These libraries allow anyone to speed up airfield development and allow others to re-create their local NZ airfield simply by placing these objects around. They are all optimized either by draw call batching or multi- LOD's so you get great visuals combined with good performance.

Look forward to a couple of airfield releases coming in the near future (which will require the V1.2 items)

(Note, not all items are shown in this shot and some items are showing lower LOD's)

Nice work guys !! Many more very usefull NZ objects for us scenery builders. Well done.
I do, however, have a small problem since updating from v1.1 to v1.2.
A hanger ( VLChanger18x18c2 ) i already had placed from v 1.1 into an NZ scenery i am working on, now shows
a night light during daylight hours on the right hand side above the doors since the update to v1.2 .
This was not there when i originally placed the hanger from the v1.1 library.
See pic below......................

Oops, I did start to add night-lighting to the hangars, for a future update, but since this hangar needed a small correction (removing the cause of the flickery shadow) I missed removing all the extra bits. I'll fix that in the next update. In the meantime, I'm sure it won't add too much to your power bill...
