Just like to repeat some useful advice that I picked up elsewhere......

My laptop was at its limits operating FS2004 and all the add-ons that I have added in/on, but I found that disabling the anti-virus programs helped to stop crashes (they can use a surprising %age of processor power even though they are in the background), so if your computer is near its capacity, then try turning anti-virus programs off.

Deframentation also helps, so if you have not done it for a while then clean up your drives.

Soon time to buy a new computer though.......

Hi

If you press crl alt del and bring up the task manager. go to the "processes" tab and its safe to end all the proceseres runing that have your user name apart from TASKMGR.exe and explorer.exe ......

dnt end anything with "system' or "NETWORK SERVICE" "LOCAL SERVICE" etc etc Only the ones with your user name.

I find theres alot of background programs here that i arnt even viris stuff.
This seems to imrove performance a bit! :D Give it a try just dont end any processors you suldn't!
