So, whats wrong with James computer this month:

I have been hearing these very odd beeping sounds comeing from my computer box, I know some programs are programed to make this noise for things but its happening even with just fs and firefox for example. Any ideas whats gana crap out next? lol

I am also haveing trouble with my fs9 scenery libuary, It doesn't seem to be able to add new scenery, I add it and then restart fs and its dissapared from the list.....

Thanks
James

[EDIT] I have noticed the beeps will ocur with about 5 in a row. With every beep the cursor will stuter and jump, things are also becomeing no responsive.

James, I think it's telling you to get a new computer :P

The only reason I can give to your problem is a virus.

Edit: Also I saw you on IVAO a while ago, so I logged on to NZCH_TWR for you, and you disconnected :o

I think it has something to do with fs..

Whenever I am in the fs9 scenery libuary there is always a beep and also whenever I end a flight fs just crashes instead of returning to the menu.

You should back up your addon scenery folder, delete the scenery and remove it from the FS library. Now try it.

could it be the modem?

the other theory is that it's overheating- try leaving the side off for a while, see if that solves it

You seem to be having far too many problems with your PC Jimmy, and you are also the only person I know with that Windows Vista addon theme thingy- perhaps that is the source of your problems???

na i don't have that installed anymore, my first pc troubles started well before I had that ;)

[EDIT] well, on a incredible piece of luck (almost as much as all the bad luck i have with this pc) I had removed my vid card to see if that stoped the beeps, it didnt so when I had it back in and was starting up again I found the beeps were gone, But my cursor wasn't working cos I hads knocked it out! Whan I pluged the mouse back in it would be beeping again (beeps start at windows welcome screen) So I unpluged the mouse and all beeps and stuters have gone.

The cord going into my mouse has been comeing out alot latly (the cord cover bit, expsing the wires) so I think this mouse can go in the bin,,, time to go steal dads mouse :P

Thanks for the help guys
James

on a general note - just be careful about operating with the sides of too much - read on one of the tech sites that the cases ae designed to have the sides on as it sets up an airflow path that is designed to flow across the areas needing cooling - if you have the sides off then this flow pattern is reduced or even stopped and may even result in worse cooling and exacerbate the problem. <_<

not saying don't or never - just saying "be careful out there" B)

yeah thanks for pointing that out twrguy, (:

I suppose my pc proably isn't properly designed for airflows and stuff thow, It is prety basic inside compared to my old dell witch had all the nice green plastic :P it is semi close to a wall to so cold air isn't flowing to far away :D
