Joystick too stiff

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

You boy's are beginning to scare me. Way too much knowledge of hair product, vaseline and chapstick. If we're ever lost for a sub forum you could start a beauty and personal grooming corner. tongue.gif

Anywho back to the problem. I have an x45 and just used cable ties. Would not recommend you go near a joystick with petroleum based grease, you'll end up with a nice big dust and gunk attractor.
Testers are born to fiddle. What does this button do? Oh! Never mind.....

would Chap-Stick do fine?[/quote]
I'm not sure if that would be the best. Maybe drop a note to Saitek and see what they advise.

Chap stick fixes lips doesn't it? And Matt used it without the world ending, so it must work.
I guess if the manufacturer says get silicon grease then that's probably the best option, but it's up to you. You could ask them.
I wouldn't go near Vaseline myself.

And on and on and on and on and on ?? well why not use honey pva glue snot i guess we could talk about them aswell for like ever and ever and ever ,,saitek could recomend anything i suppose but if you listen to them you will have the same problem again and again seeing thats what has run out and caused the problem between the plastic because they used it and it only lasted awhile ,i would recomend again wax ,yes wax and it does work and hasn't done any damage and i also haven't had dust or and thing else stop it from its smooth movement in 3 years with at lest 5 hours trashing it per day ...

now guys i want my pedals to slide better do i just throw them faster across the kitchen or should i put some dishwashing liquid down to get a smoother slide laugh.gif

Fantastic!
I got it working. Chap-stick (not mine). And it is smoother than when I got it maybe?
