hey guys,

im not exactly a computer wizz some some help with computer specs would be good.

A computer is required that could run 3 projectors showing the view from the Cockpit and 4 screens

so thats 7 screens basically

3 screens - Showing Cockpit view
2 screens - showing Artifical Horizion Digital thingy (possibly up to 17inch)
1 screen - showing Engin info full screen (possibly up to 17inch)
1 screen - showing GPS

and all this needs to run Full spec with out lag.

Anyone know what specs will be required ?? what Vid card etc.

any help would be great, and if ya know roughly how much it may cost that would be cool to.
there is also a possibility to run an APPLE computer with XP on it,
I am not wanting to run Vista just XP.

I will be removing any aircraft and Scenary that wont be used as this will be for NZ and AUZZI flying only so thats all the files that will be left in flight sim.
apart from a good AI

thanks for ya help plane.gif

Cheers

The RNZAF runs a system similar to what you want so perhaps send 'malkymoo' a private message to get the low down?
Basically, the faster the better! I would imagine a fast quad core, XP 64 bit, 8GB RAM, Decent MB, 800w powersupply.....and a couple of fast graphics cards in SLI. You may also need a splitter to divide the output of each graphics card...I would imagine that this would only work in multiples of 2 though so you may have to settle for 6 screens (although you could of course use a simple mask to give the appearence of 7 by dividing the 6th into 2)

What is this for out of interest?
