Second computer is much better in almost every way, But the Power Supply is bollocks, 420W is barely enough for that system. Sure it will work, but it is not recommended.
The first one is a more "family friendly" computer that is not really great at anything.

Could you also add some of the brands, like the brand of the RAM and Power Supplies (PSU) ?

ATI and FSX don't mix well. Get Nvidia.

Hey Eddy, that may very well be the case, and I'm sure we dont wanna spawn another ATI-Nvidia thread ninja.gif but be interested to hear if you have any links, or details to share to back this up?

Herc, in this case if these two cards are whats being offered, the ATI kicks butt (although it does suck more power) see:

I use ATI and could give a list of problems and the drivers just arn't optimised for FSX, Clouds Kill ATI cards, Water and Shader mods dont work and the list goes on.

Thanks for all the input to date.
If I was to take up option 2 then reading here I need more power up the 420w. Use the Nvidia GT or better. Have limited budget thats all.
Cheers.

I have never had a problem of my own regarding any of my ATI cards on FSX, and the shader mod also worked on my card.
But I must admit, they don't like clouds much.

Most of the Orbx and PMDG team use Nvidia cards. PMDG recommends Nvidia cards for FSX.

Had seen the Orbx posts before and some talk about the impact of clouds etc. Real interestng stuff in the other threads too. Pretty clear evidence that the AA and AF performance is different too huh.
