I am finally going to go with the tripleheadtogo digital version.Could anyone please advise the 3 monitors I should go for i.e specs and availability retail in NZ or mail order through Dell.Thanks,Ian.

I got the TH2Go Digital as well - I purchased a 2nd hand unit from the States off Ebay and sent it through shipito.com. It set me back about NZ$300 including shipping so I managed to avoid customs, GST and duty on it!! clapping.gif I'm using 3x LG W2661VP LCD's and they work fine.......... I'm pretty sure any recent monitor will work and the choice is yours regarding 4:3 vs 16:9/10. If you went with a native resolution of 1680x1050 for each monitor you might be able to save a few dollars too (Reason below)....... although these are becoming rare. I went with the W2261VP's as they were relatively cheap at $289 a monitor and have a good response time (2ms). I had a few teething issues to begin with but they seem to be operating well now. I chose 22" widescreen simply because I wanted to go as wide as the hardware would allow. I run FS9 with all settings maxed out (except for AI traffic as I fly online) and have a solid 40+ FPS on a 'modest' system (AMD64x2 6400+ - 8GB DDR2 - 2x GTX460's (Not SLI'd) - 850W PSU - 500GB HDD). I'm yet to try out FSX as alot of my home cockpit addons aren't compatible.

So seeing as I'm already posting I'll head off on a tangent........... there are two disappointments I have with it the TH2Go. The first is the maximum supported resolution of 5040x1050 - my LCD's native is 1920x1080 so I'd prefer 5760x1080 (I've read this is a bandwidth limitation over Dual-DVI). The second is the bezel management - the righthand edge of the left monitor becomes warped with any bezel correction over 72 pixels. And I need about 116 pixels!! This is apparently an issue with Windows 7 - so it looks like I'll have to hunt down my old copy of XP 64 and reinstall everything!! AARRGGH ohmy.gif

Having said that, despite those issues I can now sim without constant driver crashes and system lockups that the Nvidia Surround drivers were causing. I'm also getting slightly better framerates too!!

I hope this helps......... I'll fire it up and post some pics if you like.........
Best of luck!!

I thought I'd post this here rather than start a new thread......... this is for Doug and any other TripleHead2Go users. I have the Digital Edition and have used it fine on XP and FS9. I've just finished a hardware upgrade and have moved to Win7 x64 and FSX but I'm having some issues - I can't get FSX to run in 5760x1080 in fullscreen mode at all! Powerdesk sets the resolution fine and it runs fine on the desktop. I start FSX in windowed mode and setup my flight, but when I use ALT+ENTER to go into fullscreen mode I get a series of screen flashes with the 'GXM' logo before it goes back to a paused windowed mode. Obviously I can stretch the window to span the 3 monitors but I would much rather have it in fullscreen! I have contacted Matrox for help but am yet to receive a reply. I'm running the latest 64bit Powerdesk version and have upgraded my TH2GO firmware. Sadly WSGF is down at the moment for an upgrade so I can't search there angry.gif Have you had any such issues running FSX fullscreen with TH2GO? Any help or insights would be greatly appreciated!

Hi Mat
I have win 7 x64 and have never had any problems running on 3 22inch wide screens but I only have the resolution set at 4800 x 900 and it works fine in both windows and full screen mode.
I just updated the Matrox drivers a couple of months ago and the only change I found is now when the PC boots up it opens across the three screens where as before the update it would boot on screen one and about half way through the bootup it would open the other two screens.

Thanks heaps Doug! That seems to be the case for me too....... I did some tests last night and found I can run in 5040x1050 @ 59hz no problem so that might be the max for me right now. I think its a refresh rate issue as 5760x1080 has a refresh of 50hz which I'm pretty sure is out of my LCD's range. I'll do some more investigation but at least I can sim now!! laugh.gif Weird how I could get max resolution using little ole XP and FS9 tho!! blink.gif Thanks for the assist!!
