FS9 glitch after loading Win7 Pro

After many years of happily using Win XP & FS9 i have upgraded to Win 7 Pro 64 bit & after loading FS9 i find that i have no data on Provinces for NZ & the UK i when i try to select an airport although there are States for each airport in the USA. I didn't have this problem in Win XP. Any advice would be appreciated.

Hey DC , could check this for you tomorrow, I maybe one off the few running FS9 Win 7 Pro 64 bit and with a reasonably fresh install , from memory I was checking airports in Porto Rico doing a test with the old Alphasim USS Enterprise, the airport showed , far as New Zealand was concerned, I requested Christchurch and it showed.

Is there any chance you can do a screen capture of .. the target USA and what you are looking for and see if it compares on my PC ... Think that would be first thing to do give an idea , simply a screen of the your airport menu and where you were going to fly from.

I'm not entirely sure, as its been a long time since I used FS9, but I think that default FS9 didn't have provinces for New Zealand. Your previous install might have had some sort of addon which included them.

My thanks to you & Ian for your speedy responses. You were right on the money! When i checked on my Win XP backup & ran FS9 i see that the NZ provinces are only entered after installing 3rd party airports. Why didn't i think of that first! [at 80 the grey cells are dropping off!] Cheers Lads.

That's confirmed , in FS9 the only provinces in the UK shown for example is Lincolnshire - Scampton with the Lancaster addon.

Yep, they were a "feature" of Lawrie's freeware airfields (personally, I edited this information out with AFCAD; provinces haven't been official since the early C20th, but I recognise it makes it easier for non Kiwis to know where they are).
