How do i find , or place , an AI (landable) ship in fsx ? I downloaded one today .... put it in the boat bit of fsx , put the other bit in the addon scenery .... but unsure.gif

What you need is a little program called aicarrier2 , there is a little video tutorial , goggle and boom away you go .

Yeap, aicarriers2 is amazing.

About ships...In SoH you can find some ships which can be added to aicarriers2.

Thanks for your time gents .... i may need a walk through this . I found this great Japanese (recent) frigate , that would look good as a backdrop for some heli screens.
Really thought i could just place it anywhere and fly to it .... I'll study aicarriers2 .

I think the site i found was called "fs ship yard" , will have to check , but lots of good stuff there .... heaps for fs9.

Other site for WWII carriers is Flying Stations and course there is the payware USS Enterprise by team SDB cool.gif

You could use AiCarriers, the other way i do things is to build a traffic file and that way the boat will travel the route and you can get repeatable shots day in day out.
This is a great tutorial on how to create an AI boat traffic file

It can take a little sorting but once you get the hang of it, its pretty easy.

I'm playing around with the Tomcat package at the moment and detail on the USS Kitty Hawk is impressive.
