Following up om the FSX requirements , over the years what people buy and the limitations .. the Limits - For Flight Sim i run everything to the MAX , if that dose not work i go and buy a new PC .. All you need around hi density scenery is good frames (we all no that) Microsoft Flight Simulation has now come to its max level in what it can do ( forget all the tech jargon ) .

This by today standards makes it easy if all you want is to fly Microsoft Flight Simulation X , I have not upgraded my FS computer simply because i don,t need to , the system will run and equals any higher end system simply again FSX design core has done its limits .. we will still find answers get better results .. the big joke is the competition ... Ooo look at what i can achieve syndrome , last couple months back was a classic .. Quote - I only get 30/40 FPS , I bet 3/4 thousand dollars later most still get that BECAUSE its in the flightsim framework .

My System

Intel Quad 9650 @ 3.00Ghz .... Not overclocked ... never do that
8.00 GB off ram .. Baaaaaa
GTX 480 , 1536MB graphic card

now this is getting old by my standards but it works with all the Bell and Whistles and with all the huge payware addon,s

End off the day .. Its not a Competition whos bigger and better ... thats to some people out there , but how well all your FS works

Hmmm, sounds like wise words. So just so i understand (am a tad slow some days on the uptake), you could have the gruntiest comp and it wouldn't make any difference to texture loads and the like with using the usual tweaks etc? I simply 'have this bug' about either going SLI 560ti or 580 if anyone has had similar experiments with significant results

Oh, happy sunny hot day from Hawkes Bay

Very much it , what you have will equal anyone , MPs may have a little glitch , but that is if you do that regular and how close to a major terminal , your PC would hold its own against most others and if not preform a heck a lot better than many of the ranted hi end PC
.

Thankyou kindly, it has been a big 'anxiety' and i guess you could say 'compulsion' to get it right. Spend so much time simming that one demands the best potential but also justify the cost, due to cost of photoreal addons like Megascenery and FTX its a shame to not max it all out. Just to confirm, MPs is mipmaps?

Sorry , MPs .. Multiplay , they can have a limit , but on the general scale appear to work fine , its defined by how close to the main junction box that may cause a little grief .

We all no a little bit , throw it into the pot stir it up ... by the way MPs , all you need is a cheap mic for the comm's , the rest is a lotta fun ... it is good to have some off the aircraft most have but if not the freeware can also equal , recent is talked about is the Macchi 202 WWII fighter .

Even if your not into MPs , it is a very good community based chat all for the cost - think 6 dollar for the cheapest mic but the norm is a desktop Genius type , the TS3 (teamspeak3) is free and only minutes to set up .
