Do any members own this unit and if so what is their impressions of it and would you consider it suitable for FSX GA and airliners or just military aircraft?

I have a *standard* X52 (stick & throttle) that replaced my ancient Thrustmaster setup - used at the time primarily for *combat sims* (Falcon4, Il-2, LOMAC).

Whilst it hasn't got nearly as many switches/hats as my old TM gear, they're more than enough for FSX. Just about OK for military stuff.

*However* - a lot depends on what O/S you're using, as the programming software for the X52 is simply appalling on Vista. This makes the setting up of profiles for the various sims a real pain.

On the good side, the hardware itself seems fine (though I think they're pretty ugly- like those cheap Japanese cars of old). They certainly don't seem to spike quite as much as my TM stuff did. Even my (relatively) new CH rudder pedalks have started doing that ... GRRRRR.
