I am trying to flash my graphics card bios so the fan will automaticly adjust when the temps get too high (was set to 120 degrees before it starts doing anything)

So, I have to make a bootable DOS CD and include the 'flashrom' app and the new bios file.

I found a bootable dos .iso file, but I will also need to mount the others files on the CD.

It would be easier if I had a floppy drive but I haven't and my mobo can't support it anyway.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks

Nick

OK, not to worry. Turns out my mobo did have a floppy cable and port, my PSU did have a floppy power connector, and i did have an old floppy drive lying around with a floppy disk in it!

So, I simply made it bootable, loaded the software on it, booted from it, and made the changes necessary.

Now video card does what i told it to do and cools itself down when it gtes too hot. smile.gif

So I'm happy!

Night all

Lucky you... you should also check if the BIOS supports booting from USB... you might be able to boot from a USB stick!
