I'd go with B - those i7 processors are supposed to be the shizzle for flightsim aren't they ? It sounds like a much beastier system.

Type a is around $1500 and Type B is approx $2700.
Type B is over my budget though. Type A is approaching top of Budget.
Could I mix the two to get one?
I run NZ payware, Snowmans scenery, UK2000.
Payware aircraft and fly always online.

If money is a bit tight, and your running FS9 then Option-A will be fine. Basically what my rig is and I'm happy as with it

Another A v B fight, boeing is the.....

Oh, read question.

I think you have answered your own question in regards to the budget, if B is outside of it, and to be honest is a lot higher than A, you would be better with A because in about a year or two, b will be worth a.

Yeah, if your only running FS9, A would be more than adequate.

Core i7 currently isnt great, nor Vista or XP allow programs to use it to its full ability. Windows 7 will fix this.

RECOMMENDATION ! .... spend that little extra on the Graphic Card ! , the GIGABYTE GTX260 896MB , Its not up to speed with FSX due to hardware but currently looking at result s are supreme for FS9 .

The test is what i consider the biggest frame rate hitter and using real world weather .

Go for the 'A' but see if this card ( recommended ) will work with it , i'll post screens shortly . Fact is - this will last you for good 2 to 3 years , My old ( 2 plus years) Geforce768mg card was brilliant compared to the above ! this card suits FS9 and will keep you happy for along time .
