Hello all

Can I have opinions on the optimal FSX setup please

I have one 250GB hdd with Windows 7 64 bit freshly installed as a general use OS

I have bought a 1TB internal drive today. I wiah to dual boot to a second W7 just for FSX.

Which HDD shall I install the new W7 on?
Which HDD shall I install the FSX on? I will install within the FSX W7 dual boot, but can set FSX to sit where optimal

Thanks to all

i'd say put the FSX on the 250gb hdd, (this depends on the speeds of the actual drives and since i dont know them im guessing theyre the same) since you want as little clutter bogging down FSX performance, so any other software/files or junk goes onto the 1tb hdd.

if the 1tb hdd has a faster RPM then maybe you could partition the 1tb into say, 200gb, 800gb and use the 200 for fsx and the 800 for files.

Yup im with Sam on this ,the 250gig will be more than enough room for a very large install of FSX ,and id partition the other 1tb into 3 or 4 parts
