Weird!!! How are you saving the screenshots - the default "V" key? I don't think mine go into the Picture Library (though I'll check). Is it maybe a permissions problem? Is User Account Control turned off? Are you running with full admin rights?

Tried opening them in another application?

I'm running FSX on Win7 (64) and have no problems. Generally, it seems to run way better than under Vista.

Do a search for a little utility called "Snapper" (free, I think) - which can save straight to .jpg format. I haven't tied it myself, but it may give you a clue as to what's going wrong.

Thanks Adamski-- I run the 32bit version--yes I am getting great results --however the upgrade was a threefold project -- latest Gigabyte mobo - AMD Black edition 3.1 gig processor & Windows 7--result is amazing. Yes I use the "V key that always worked before. User account was the first thing to be removed (hate it)--I am the admin--Will try your suggestions-- there has to be a third party device that works better than a MS -will check out Snapper --thanks again

There's your problem laugh.gif laugh.gif laugh.gif

Do your pics get put in [user]\libraries\Pictures\My Pictures\Flight Simulator X Fles ? I presume they do.

What video card are you running? DX10 preview mode or normal?

Looks like you may be "grabbing" a buffer frame. I agree with Timmo, though - latest drivers are a good start.

Good Morning Guys & thanks -- all screenshots great in DX10 mode --I have been in DX9 mode most of the time as some of my favourite aircraft can only handle DX9. My Gigabyte update manager tells me that all drivers are up to date. My GPU is a HD4850--thanks again
