Hey

The problem I am having is quite simple

The sky has lines running through it. Almost like the colors will not blend but rather fade in stripes to a darker shade of blue (or yellow if the sun is setting)
Which setting do I need to adjust in order to smooth out my sky.

Any help will be GREATLY appreciated

Thanks, Rob.

Make sure the filtering is set to something other than none is the FS9 display settings

Can you take a screenshot of your problem? I'm imaging the 'banding' you can get with a low colour resolution though. Is your resolution set to 16 or 32000 colours?

Heres the problem as you can see the lines running horizontaly through the sky
The lines are much more clearly seen when on the sim and my filtering is set to Trilinear

Is it only when there is blue sky (ie no clouds) you see this or does it appear in other areas like ground textures? It looks to me that it's the graphics card's way of colour shading from dark to light, the lines seem a bit curved so maybe it's the sim's rendition of the atmosphere and sun reflection (seems clear in the area above the plane). Lower your visibility settings maybe and introduce clouds (rather than clear weather settings). Apart from that it's not something that would concern me too much, but I can understand you wanting to get rid of the effect.

Awesome to hear, but I would have thought x16 coulours would have been worse than x32 ... obviously not! I might try changing mine to x16 and see how it looks, it should perform better with the lower colour palette maybe?
