I need some advice on how to set up the MATROX three-screen software
The screenshots I have seen do not coincide with what I am getting - i.e. a central screen, then a "new window" on the left and right
This tends to upset the smooth look out the windows, as the left and right hand screens do not align exactly.
Any ideas? - OGG1E

You need to have the digital edition and digital monitors to get them to line up correctly. If you have them, click on the "Matrox PowerDesk" icon which should have been placed on your desktop when you installed the software. On the home page click the "Multi-Display Setup"
In the next window, go to the right hand side and move the slider down until you see "GXM". Open the drop down menu by clicking on the arrow. Click "Bezel management (for GXM)"
The next screen will show you a large cross that stretches across all three screens. Plus a dialog box. In the top left of the box you will find a check box "Use Bezel management (for GXM)".
Check this and then use the two adjustment boxes until the lines in the cross line up to your satisfaction. Check OK and it's done. You can close the "Matrox PowerDesk" and go flying.

You may have to do this from time to time as some times the desktop will open
as normal. If you want to revert to normal display, just go and un-check the "Use Bezel management" you should not have to adjust when you want to use it again. Just recheck the box and OK.

Hi! My understanding was that the triple digital would handle/serve ANALOG monitors as well. Is this not the case?

Yes it will. However, if you use analog monitors you are unable to use Power Desk to adjust them. (I'm 99.99% sure of this, winkyy.gif check their site in case they have a new software V out) Which is no big deal if you don't mind having half a gauge on one screen and the other half on another. When using Bezel Managment it will slide behind the bezel and pop out the other side. I used it with analog monitors for several years and it's fine. Although I think Bezel Managment adds to the realisim.
