Creating a VC for existing FSX aircraft

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Hi people,

This one goes to the panel/VC guru's out there. I'm thinking about creating a HD VC for the SF3D Cessna 140. It's a lovely aircraft but the VC is terrible and it has nothing to do with the real 140.

My questions:

Is it possible to "compile" a new 3D VC for an existing aircraft?

If not, the only option I guess is to lay a new texture on it and change the gauges. Is that very complicated to do? Which software is the best to use for this?

Cheers guys
Dan

PS Oops, I posted in the wrong topic accidentally, could you move my post to the Technical issues topic?

Yes you can build a new 3d VC for any fsx made aircraft and add the copit in the model cfg entry or use one from another aircraft in replacement of the old ,Google search that .
you can also change gauges in the VC you have now by going into the panel cfg and swapping them out for others you may have in other aircraft ,that and a repaint on the back panel could be what you are looking for ..

Thanks mate, I'll try to find some time this weekend to do it...it won't be easy though...I've never done anything in G-max or fsds.

Cheers again
