Hi
I wonder if anyone knows what time the ground lights turn on in FS9? I have noticed during a few dusk flights that it has to basically be real dark before the ground lights (housing etc) come on. I recall, in the past, the lights coming on much earlier.
Is anyone aware of a cfg setting perhaps that changes this? Thanks
Matt

Hi Matt,
I was sitting in a cessna at wellington Airport watching the AI aircraft taking off and noticed that the runway lights and the houses on the hills came on at 1751.I don't know if there is a config setting or not,I'm not that well versed in that department. This time was taken by the clock in the Cessna

Things get even more complicated in FSX. Here's a quote from Adam Szofran of Microsoft:
The lights come on when the ambient light level falls below 25% of maximum.
This is done on a pixel-by-pixel basis and is not blindly tied to the
day/dawn/dusk/night state like it was in FS9. We did this so that the
lights turn on in heavily shadowed valleys before they turn on in areas
still illuminated by the sun.
