Hi Folks,
My last post produced zero replies so as a newbie I must have used the wrong words, so here goes again.
Do I need Goggles to get a good view of the scenery - my main interest is 'low and slow' - apparently illegal in real life, but some ultralights ended up in some great locations.
Trying to recreate the old days in a PA-18 simulator.
Please any commments on the use of goggles - good or bad - appreciated.
Also anyone with a PA-18 Sim welcome to email.
Cheers,
Brian

Gidday Brian - Welcome to NZFF ,
I musta missed your posts , Low and slow .. I recommend many freeware photoreal scenery you just need to ask the best but add to that , many great payware , the use off FPV Video Goggles sounds very interesting , the Super Cub ... not my sort off aircraft in Sim .. real life be a lotta fun and realistic the first micro .

Hi Brian,
I did see your question but didn't answer due to having no knowledge on the subject and I would assume that was the reason others didn't reply too

I've never used goggles but they do sound like a good solution-a few on here use 'track IR' which is a different approach to the same problem- have you considered this approach?

Thanks Ian & Timmo,
Have taken your words of wisdom to heart and reviewed the goggles in that light and that of time and increased knowledge on the subject. I am all for goggles for FPV model flying but for simming I think the lack of pixel count would detract from the imersion aspects and make instrument panels very hard to read. Also would not work with "real" or other fixed panels which I count as desirable. I have check the "track IR" thingies and they look good options to multi screens.
Thanks again for your words and please accept my apologies for my late response.
