So what i'm looking at getting is a CPU,Motherboard,8GB Ram,and a new hard drive,

GA-B75M-D3H Motherboard
Intel Core i5 3570 3.4GHZ CPU
Kingston HyperX 8GB 1600MHZ Ram Kit
Western Digital 1TB 64MB SATA 6Gb/s Caviar Black HDD

NZD $615 inc GST (Shipping not included). Pretty reasonable I'd say and would run FSX no problems at all. You could play around with the components a bit - with the extra money you could get a better CPU, or a new graphics card, or invest in an SSD? For $1000 the computer world is your digital oyster!

Dazza. Sorry I missed that original post of yours too. If you havent splashed out yet do take the time to read the sticky posts on the avsim hardware forum area, and poke around at the older threads too. Its a real gold-mine of on-topic stuff to consider when looking at components, no matter what the budget...
http://forum.avsim.net/forum/326-mobo-ram-...other-hardware/

Good luck, is a fun process huh.
