ORBX FTX AUS NZ A1 TRAFFIC V2.1

The place to ask for help or solve each others technical issues and discuss hardware

Postby bobby48w » Fri May 17, 2013 4:58 pm

My query is addressed to anyone who is using the FTX AUS NZ A1 TRAFFIC add on for FSX. Is there any other way apart from doing a complete re -install of the program to alter the four options in the FTX CONTROL PANEL.
When I installed the program and exited the installation after ticking the appropriate boxes in the Control Panel it disappeared and I can`t recover it to make alterations as is suggested when flying in Countries other than Australia and New Zealand.( ie; Activating or Deactivating the FSX DEFAULT A1 TRAFFIC.) The only way I could get back to the control panel was to do a re-install. Any help would be appreciated. BOB.

I use it and recommend it to the MAX .... This appears to be a typical FTX switch problem , i did try everything i no to get back AI worldwide , found the best option is the other freeware FSX AI packages and load over the top but then is simply a lot of work .. simply had a payware traffic package to fill the gap ..... best person to ask would our AI Genie "Charl" .. recommend PM him cool.gif

Hello Bobby - If I open up FTX Central (from the desktop shortcut icon), it shows me an FTX Control Panels button, and if I click that there is a button for the AI, and that gives me the selection menu you are looking for.
My first try was a look in the ORBX folder and I found a couple of exe files that looked useful, but one gave me an error message 'no cofnig specified' and the configurator one didn't seem to do anything.
Hope this helps.

'Propliner' is actually short for 'Proper airliner, with big rumbly radials'

Thank you Mike for that info. I didn`t have any other FTX stuff in FSX hence I couldn`t access FTX Central, so I downloaded and installed the FTX Tasmania Demo package.
Then Hey Presto there was the FTX Central with the AI Icon. Everything is sweet now thanks. I am once again a "happy chappy."
Thanks also to Charl & Ian who replied to my post. BOB
