Hi Everyone. This is my first ever post on a forum - how sad is that?

Following the release of the Just Flight and Quality Wings BAE 146, I'm planning on taking my flight simming to the next level - building my own flight deck. I'm not planning at this stage on an exact replica as that would be cost prohibitive, but I am planning on creating a module of approximately the right dimensions with wrap around screen and data projection of sceanary. I've scowered the internet for dimesions of the 146's flight deck but to no avail. Does anyone know the measurements or know where or who mightbe able to help me?

I look forward to reading your replies.

SAD rolleyes.gif Nah Really , welcome on board and to NZFF - the BAe146 , hmm had Ansett been around not a problem and the Only other person here on the forum here to get exactly measure and measure again would be Tom and he would be dang busy in the real world .

Realistic .. you can build a cockpit so close to the real thing without true measurements .. if you really are going that direction , start a build first , a airliner first take an eyeball measure of the seat , compare the width to the mid consul and repeat the seat dim's opposite .. eyeball engineering really works better sometime for home use .

Pretty huge actually. The 146 feels like a 777 flight deck. I don't know the dimensions but perhaps you could email the developer, they must have used something for designing the VC.

Thanks Ian. Good advice - that is going to be my "if all else fails" option. I might just contact Just Flight and Quality Wings - they must have had some figures to work from! Either way, I'm looking forward to making a start on this project and I'm going to keep a digital diary which I'm going to share.....just don't know when I'm going to start or how long its going to take, but that's all part of the fun of it!

Thanks DeeKnow. I'm going to keep a digital diary which I will share to let people know how I get on.
