Had a weird result after installing the most recent updates of FSUIPC4 and FSUIPC. I have used it for years, and the updates have always just gone in, and worked.
This time, it banjaxed my FSX - it refused to recognise my CH Yoke/Quad/Pedals, they might as well not have been there. Windows was seeing them, though. Long story short, Win7 let me rightclick the dll and restore the earlier version, so all is well again there. In my two FS9 installs, I still have a strange effect which started a while back. FSUIPC doesn't remember the throttle lever assignments, and they have to be redone after even a change of aircraft or airport. All the others are fine.
I have noticed that after the box saying 'FSUIPC is saving' disappears and I am back at the sim screen, when I press Alt, I briefly see the FSUIPC settings dialog before the sim menu bar appears. It is not there if I minimise the sim.
Might try reverting the FS9 ones back further.
Anyone else seen anything like this? unsure.gif

I yet to update and upgrade , i had both sims running on one HD but divided , as the packages installed grew so did the conflict between each simulator - controls and even scenery , i reverted to have independent HD's now with the both i have not seen that problem reoccur .

That's interesting. My FSX and the 'old' FS9 are on C: and the new Classic is on its own separate 1TB G: drive. I really want to have all the FS9 installs on my old BigBeast XP3 machine, but I can't afford two sets of CH gear, and Win7 doesn't like USB things being unplugged/replugged.

Well, I couldn't find anything around the 'Net on this, so I cleaned out the Modules folder on G: - all except the fsuipc key file - then copied in the contents of the Modules folder from a basic FS9 I have on another machine, before making a fresh install of FSUIPC to G:\Classic FS.
That worked, and the throttles now stay active after aircraft changes.
The problem was caused when I copied my old Classic on C: to the new drive G:. It seems there are other bits in the Modules folder and those still pointed to C:, which confused the dll.
Naturally, I discovered that on the 'Net, after I had hit on the fix when I was reduced to 'using the big hammer'.

So, if you move or copy your FS9 to a different drive, take the time to remove FSUIPC, then make a fresh install after the move.
