Hi folks,.
I have an issue that is not consistent but happens enough times to be a pain, either when doing multi-player or on my own.
I load up the FSX (plus IR Tracker), it goes through the screens to get location, aircraft etc. and then goes on to load the scenery and setting. When that goes through the percentage bar on the screen to 100 %, instead of coming up on the screen, FSX minimises to the task bar and stays there. If I click on it to put it back to full screen, it advises me that FSX is already running .
I then have to quit FSX and reload. Sometimes, like last week it worked ok, tonight, it worked fine (in multiplayer with my son), then, when we wanted to reload to another airport, (without a snowstorm), this happened, three times until we gave up.
Appreciate any thoughts on what I am not doing right here

kindest regards

Harold

From this point you want to reduce your screen setting, due to automatic net updates it can cause your FS to go funky chicken whiles running FS .

Try a saved or previous flight .. all should work fine.

Working thru a snowstorm .. have you tried clear weather as a test .

Try this:
1. Select FSX from the icon on the tool bar - or use the Alt-tab key to cycle through the open programs to select FSX
2. Once you have selected FSX hold down the Alt key and while it's held down press enter (ie Alt-Enter) - there will be a fair bit of screen flickering (well there is on my setup) but eventually you will have FSX full screen in whatever resolution you originally told it to run. Once it is full screen I can usually do the Alt-Enter thing again and get back to my preferred screen set up.

Hope this helps
