Has anybody else had problems with Simconnect? According to everywhere I've looked, you have to manually install Simconnect (included) Trouble is that I can't seem to get in to install. It starts to install and then the installer just disappears. It's not running in the background or anything. I've downloaded the files from a third party and they do the same thing. A2As stuff doesn't work properly and I bought AccuFeel today which is installed but doesn't show up in the menu within the sim

Nick - this might help.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5jpJmJ4wfzAI have read elsewhere that there are several simconnect.dll files around, and installing the latest can cause a clash with an older one in your main MS FSX installation.

Yeah I forgot to mention, the new builds of Steam don't require you to manually install the simconnect files. A couple of add ons, have required me to add things to the registry to get them to show up in the menus. Accu-feel, Razbam's Metro and something else I forget now have required me to do this.

One I brought on the $5 dollar deal only as a backup , I should whiz it in to test it myself and check and compare.

Cheers Nick, I'll check what HD has some space on it and go from there.
