I can not see my port wing on P3D Connie starting at Whenuapai virtual Cockpit view, also cabin views are not showing a wing on that side either.

Can someone check please.

I think that's kind of normal, the virtual cockpit is modelled separately, and it doesn't always include the full aircraft, just what you can see from the normal cockpit views. These days, with cameras which we can move around, it's easy to go past the limits of the cockpit visibility on older aircraft. As the default cabin view shows the starboard wing, it needs to be included in the cockpit model, but since the default camera is fixed, it's not designed for you to look out the other window:)

Not to mention the spelling -- 'whenpuapai'. I always feel guilty about this, because it was on my list of issues on the FSX beta, but I forgot to report it....

I should have answered that myself , on the 079/649/749 the nose contours are very rounded .. this did change with the series 1049 or Supers as know but even then its still a good lean forward the out the side.

But you can see the Starboard Wing in the right seat. I am now the Co Pilot .I need this to feel real.

It would have been not beta tested proper .... If you were sitting in the seat you not see a wing at all , if do lean forward you may just see part off the wing ... I'm sure this is the Aeroplane Heaven 049 Connie and with the books and data here it would difficult to see. A good example for the 049 and the C-69 the cockpit were round edged , screen show square framed cockpit windows , the square frame come with the 1049.

I'll scan a C-69 cockpit... hang on a minute. here we go , a good example of the very early 049-C69 cockpit, study the angle ... the cockpit extrudes out and had these serious rivets in them , an thing all early aircraft eyebrow windows

Can't see either wing from either the pilot's or copilot's seats. If I turn track IR on I can lean out enough to just catch a glimpse of the starboard wing but seem to be unable to do that from the pilots seat with track IR.

The flight deck is so far forward from the wing that i wouldn't expect to see the wing unless I managed to lean out the window somehow!

The passenger view only shows the right wing as you said but also a lot of the cabin is missing as well. It's not a view point that I consider worth using due to these features (or lack of!)

You can see .. blew the photo up , good thing with this photo it shows the window open ... check the thickness off the frames ... I do have film/video here were the camera on the Supers even had to sit on the instrument dashboard even to see the wing.

A thought on this one, the one model possibly will nail it smack in the nose would be the A2A 049

Now looking down on her for a good view of the angle of around 44.5 degrees you should expect to see the port outer engine nacelle. True you would need Track IR to achieve this .However in the film you can see those massive wright cyclones stick out a long way from the leading edge don't they

Fair enough maybe I was. Here are two more shots where I sat in the seat by looking down to make sure I was in the correct spot.

The first is the Port view, and you can see the Nav Light marked with the discreet arrow,which also btw tells its own story. And the Seat back also clearly marked




The second shot as the first paid particular attention to my position so as not to be to far forward as you suggest dbcunnz




Obviously you do need to lean forward ,but that's perfectly natural thing to do; right

I was trying quickly find the point which I refer in 'Connies' from the cockpit Id have to watch .. the entire movie again and with pleasure .... and capture the screen , you will be very surprised how lacking the view really is.
