I see they Lockheed suggest a vid card with 8 gig of ram. Wow that's the first time I have seen a sim call for that.My card has 6 gig, will it handle version 4?Not sure I want to upgrade from 3 to 4 .Is this all because they have upped the graphic detail a bit ? I know its 64bit ,so I am interested to see what it is like.

Personally, I think it will sing. I have a 2GB GTX 770, and I do like to keep my settings far too high, but even then I get rock-solid performance, especially now that I've remembered to add the 'TextureMaxLoad=6' tweak. This is the only cfg tweak I use now.
Sure, I lock frames at 30, due to my lower specs, you should be able to do a lot better.

That's interesting they recommend such a high spec card and yours is running fine on high end setting. Thanks for the reply. The texture setting you mention'TextureMaxLoad=6' tweak does this improve the quality in VR as well?

Robin just wondering where do you put the 'TextureMaxLoad=6' line?

Sorry, missed your previous post.
This goes in the [DISPLAY] section of Prepar3D.cfg. This tweak is shown in the Learning Center (should be available from your start menu.)
It specifically improves the performance with photo scenery, not sure what effect it would have on anything else.

Thanks Rob.Have not got any photo scenary as yet.So far Version 4 is working quiet well.Bit disappointed in the VR but early days and I am hopeful they will try and improve the interface. So far I can see very little in the way of improvement over version 3.
