Yesterday i re-installed RealNZMarborough to find that Omaka, Woodbourne & Picton [Koromiko] were available but Picton Float Plane Sevices in the harbour were missing. I seem to have the correct Afcads, can anyone out there help?

Do you mean missing from the airport list? I don't think the base ever had an AFCAD, so you can't choose it as a start location.

Yes, it's missing from the scenery library.

As I said, there isn't an AFCAD, it's just a model, so although you should be able to land there, you can't choose to start there.

I have used this program for some years now & i have loaded a floatplane in the Picton harbour, taken off & flown around the Sounds. This was only achievable by running RealNZMarlborough!

My Classic FS9.1 offers me Picton Floatplane Services as a starting point, as well as the land airfield. If I select PFS, I find myself about 3/4 of the way across the bay on a line from the long northernmost jetty.
In my FS10, I am only offered the land airfield. Looks like different versions of the Marlborough scenery. I could always taxi up to the PFS shed and save that as a flight, to be called up when I next login.
Hope this helps

Hmm, the Marlborough FSX manual mentions 'NZ99', but I think the manual was adapted from FS2004, and maybe FSX didn't get the floatplane afcad… someone may have made one at some stage, but I can't find anything. Anyone actually have this?

Thank you for acknowledging the entry in the Scenery Library did exist. Is Picton harbour connected to the Bermuda Triangle? Perhaps i should have kept my copy of FS9 on Windows 7 [never had this glitch with that!].

OK - in my FS9 there is a PictonFl.bgl. I can open it with AFCAD, but it says it is AF2_NZ99.bgl, Picton Float services in the city of Picton, county of Marlborough Sounds, country New Zealand, created 7-5-2007 at 3.49pm, modified 3.49.pm
In my FS10 there is a file of the same name and date, but created 3.49pm and modified 5.49pm. ADE says it does not contain an airport and AFCAD says it is "not in recognised AFD format"

I think that's just a flatten file.

Settle down guys, it's all systems go! I didn't have af2_nz99 in Scenery-World-Scenery only in Addon Scenery-Scenery so i copied it over & Picton Float Services is back in Scenery-Library & working as it should. A big thank you to everyone who put in their 5 cents.

That's good news :D
Actually I found Rob's FSX Marlborough includes a really spiffy booking office and jetty just where the real one is - check it out in Google street view
I drove the Stalwart over from Koromiko to act as a marker in ADE and created a parking spot there, which makes it appear in FSX as an airport. It needs more work on alignment, but I can start a flight from there. No need to do a full water airport since I don't intend to set up any AI traffic.

Golly gee, that was a long time ago... my son and I actually went up in the floatplane when we were there taking photos for the scenery a decade ago.
It's probably time I reinstalled Marlborough, so I can at least try and offer support:)

It is so long since I did anything creative that it took several hours to remember how to tamper with things in FSX, and even more so in FS9
