512MB ram and an x2 3600+ with an 8800GTX ? That's really daft. Especially running it off a dodgy no brand psu
You'd want a 500 - 600W Silverstone/Enermax PSU and atleast 2gig of ram, the x2 3600+ would choke that GTX pretty bad too, so maybe a 4600+ or above. But if it were me I'd go for a Core 2 Duo

I totally agree, 512MB is barely enough to run Windows XP

yeah, i do like the 20/22", the widescren is particularly good for Flight sims. i see nvidia are releasing a 8800 Ultra too, should be bloody expensive too, probably not worth the extra over the GTX i suspect.
And just on that, I think the core 2 duo 6700 is a bit overkill since it's NZ$180 more, but it's only a few % faster than the 6600. my 2c...

after some quick work the cockpit will be run by 3/4 7port usb hubs powering everything from avonics, airflow fans to the CD player
