I tried to update Mozilla Thunderbird today to version 2.0 and backed up my old 0.7 version.
After I installed Version 2 it wouldn't start so I put 0.7 back just overwriting the data from version 2.0
Anyway I started up 0.7 to expect nothing new but I can't find my old emails and I can't send emails so I have to get a new account in Thunderbird. Can anyone tell me the Slingshot mail servers or by any chance tell me how to get my emails back?
Please I really need to know!

Have you tryed a system restore point ??? see if you can reverse the damage ? also if you have a slingshot account you should be able to login to the account and mail account for there main page ,maybe ? you can give it a try anyway

Tell us what fixed it mate, so anyone else in the same situation can learn
Firefox and Thunderbird keep back ups of nearly all settings by default - its just finding them is the hardest part. Let us know whether you imported the old settings or system restored it, or something else.
Cheers

I was told from the Mozilla forums to delete the older versionas that was stuffing up the new one and when I re-installed the new one it worked
