Dad's asked me to do something for him but I don't know how too!
How do I record videos of the video player on to my hard drive so they can be stored on to a disc?

Will I be able to do this with my 5600?
In the booklet it metions your "capture program" and doesn't actuly say what "capture program"
Could you point me in the right direction for software if thats what i needa get.

i doubt your 5600 has video input, so you'll need a video capture card from dick smith. then you just plug the vcr into the card and you're away. some even allow you to watch tv on your computer.

sometimes your card will be able to do this with a s-video to av lead about $20 that would just go into the output of the video player ,then you would change the setting in the properties to input instead of output ,worth a look anyway ,plus there are lots of capture software to record ,or if you are going out to by a card anyway ,get a bt 878 pixelview pro2

Um yeah it has a s-video and I have a little cable I pluged into the video players socket.

i'm sure windows movie maker can capture video in (it's under accessories in the start menu)
