Since I've seen/heard of a lot of problems with FSX aircraft working in the acceleration expansion, I was wondering if FSX can be installed 2 times? One just basic FSX, the other with acceleration. It works with other games, I don't see why it wouldn't with FSX..

I also need a bit of advice on a new controller. I plan to upgrade from the one I have now once I get FSX and a computer to run it, but I'm not sure what to go for. I had a look at the X52, but if I'm going to spend that much on a controller, I'd rather just go for the full package (Yoke, throttle quadrant, pedals). The only problem is, I can't seem to find a quadrant piece for sale in NZ, at least not with 4 throttle levers. Which brings me back to the X52, I had the one before that (42? not sure) but got rid of it fairly quickly, after a few times using it, the rudder would go all loopy, and all of a sudden turn full to the left or right, even though I wasn't pressing it. Has anyone had that problem with the X52? Are there any other good controllers around? The cyborg evo would be the 3rd option if I didn't go for the others.

I run a set of saitek pedals with a X45 set of throttle and stick no problems "thats my playing set" then i run a cyborg evo for working slew with and testing out scenery etc ,all with no problems
FSUIPC by Peter Dawson is the trick to mapping if you did have controller problems and you could map buttons throttlesX4 panels yokes pedals anything you can think of just about with FSX ,

So i suppose that could be the answer maybe you are looking for
EVO 10/10
X45 X52 sweet
Saitek pedels or CH no problems

only real prob with between the FS9 and the FSX setup with controllers , many switch,s and buttons are reversed .. so if you run both FS's make sure you recall what one puts ya gear down on landing and check your instruments tongue.gif

Hmm, ok. I'm almost decided on what I want, thinking about the X52 pro, The price is a bit steep, but cheaper than getting a yoke & throttle system then having to get the pedals. Has anyone used or have the X52 pro and could give a quick review on it? The regular X52 was on display at harvynormans a while ago, I tried it to get a feel for it, but there was no resistance in the stick. Says the X52 pro has more resistance, which is about the only thing I want to know if it's true.
