Have recently installed the Saitek Yoke, Quadrant & Rudder Pedals and working great so far with one exception.
I understand that the lower portion (red scaled) area of the Quadrant is for 'reverse thrust'. Can anyone confirm this and if so
what do I need to do to get this to operate.......... is there an easy way? Nothing on the instructions sheet..........
Any help would be appreciated. unsure.gif

Hi,

the red zone is for reverse thrust, but you need to configure it with fsuipc. they are buttons not axis in the reverse thrust zone, i.e. on or off. you will need to configure fsuipc (if you have it) let me know if you need a hand with the set up, took me a little while to get it working right, same with the flaps!!!

Hi Jason,
Thanks for the response.
I have fsuicp (free download) but have not loaded as I read where there can be a few problems within FSX !!!
Have you got the free version or did you register and have you had any problems with it?
If not then I will proceed and yes I would appreciate a little help if you don't mind.........
Many thanks

hi Barrington,

you will need to purchase FSUIPC version 4(this is specifially for FSX) i have purchased it and it is really one of the must haves. when you purchase it it opens up alot more tuning options. i have not had any problems with fsuipc 4. let me know when you have purchased it and then we can go further, i have not used the saitek software, as i have heard bad things about it. i am not sure whether you can set reverse in fsx menu or not, have not really looked into that option (don't think you can though)

You should be able to set it up with the Saitek Software (at least it looks like I can with my software (w/ X52)). Just open up the profile (or create one), find/scroll the Throttle/s boxes on the right-hand side of the screen (it should be there unless they've changed it dramatically), open it up and create a new band. Then assign a keypress to that band (F2?), not the tidiest way perhaps, but free. smile.gif
