Hi Guys,

I thought I would throw this in here....still doing the investigating as to what it might be but I have had a Terrain.dll CTD just northwest of Waihi around where the the Coromandel Photoreal starts....I was flying in the direction of Thames.

Has anybody else had this issue before by any chance?

Cheers
Florian

*EDIT: I have narrowed it down to the Coromandel Photoreal scenery....de-activating that scenery solves the CTD. I will remove and re-install the scenery.

An Update on this:

I have now narrowed it down to the Autogen package for Coromandel.

I re-downloaded both the Coromandel scenery and the Agn-pack, but firstly only installed the scenery by itself. This produced no CTD.

After I added the Autogen pack the Terrain.dll CTD returned.

The area it happens is in the vicinity of S37* 18.58' E175* 49.36'

It would be great if anyone can see if they can reproduce this.

My other addons are:

Christian's topo and mesh, Lawrie's airports for the Coromandel area and Ground Evironment.

Cheers
Florian

Ive tried to reproduce your problem,.............. but no go sorry Florian.
Obviously im running the same as you, FS9, Coromandel Photoreal, My 4 airports for it, the AGN pack, Christians 20m mesh and NZ Topo,............
But,......... NOT GE Pro.
Tried it in a number of different aircraft, default, freeware addon, and payware addon,........ but no problem came to light,..........

Thanks very much for that Lawrie....I'm fearing it may well be a conflict with GE

Possibly could be Florian. I have known other conflicts with GE Pro, and with Real Environment Pro as well.
PM Charl ( hes using GE Pro), and see if he has the same conflict in that location...............

Sorry Florian, I'm not ignoring you!
I tried replicating your problem, and had a nice fly over from NZNE over the Coromandel, and down the East coast.
I don't have the same issues, as Lawrie said I do have GE Pro on my system.
What I have experienced - randomly - in the past while, is a total Windows Blue Screen of Death crash out of FS9.
I did change NVidia drivers so that may be it.

If it persists, I will step backward with successive restore points until I identify the culprit.
I am hoping against hope that it's not the Javis Sabre... unsure.gif I can lose just about anyhing else, but not that one.

Thanks for checking it out anyway Charl,

I still haven't been able to get rid of the CTD apart from removing the Coromandel autogen. I have tried adjusting my scenery priorities, de-activated Lawrie's airports one by one...I even updated my video drivers but it all did nothing.

It has something to do with the way my pc handles the autogen in the area. Looks like I will just have to live with it and try to keep clear of the area or fly without the autogen.

I did try that yes, I removed all the Coromandel stuff completley and D/L'd the lot afresh.

The first time yes I did, but on subsequent test flights I didn't have it open...

Great, glad it works for you!
I remember at the time there was an issue at Pauanui, with giant autogen trees that came and went.
The job was almost done (and agen is a mammoth task) when this popped up, was cured, then not, then finally fixed.
My heart bled for young "Wingman", after all that labour to have this happen.
As a result there were maybe half a dozen "Final" versions, and I think one of those may have been uploaded by mistake.
I'll see if we can get this one up to replace it...

No worries Lawrie! It never occured to me that there would have been a difference in the files. I'm just extremley grateful that Charl offered to email the "pre-release" set over laugh.gif

Arrrrgh!

Same thing has just happened to me, in exactly the same location during a Flight Sim Economy flight from NZWV-NZGB. Just cross the boundry into the photoreal Coromandel and ... bang ... CTD!

Any chance those "pre-release" .agn files are still available? Don't want to have to download 42MB from Lawrie's site on dial-up. sad.gif
