Having said that, I can't remember if they work when I'm in TrackIR "active" mode. I don't use it as much as I used to ... mainly because of the snorts and giggles from HER winkyy.gif[/quote]
My flatmates laugh at me when they see me using my TrackIR cap, they thought it was my lucky flying hat!
Then I tried to explain to them that it was an Infrared tracking system that emitted light on to three fixed refelective tracking points on the cap, this was then used to calculate my head position and through the software was able to track inputs from my head movements into scaled movements of my POV the virtual cockpit in Flightsim.....then said....on second thoughts....its my lucky flying hat....
I think what Tuisong was wanting to know was not how to zoom in and out in spot view, but actually move the position of the camera relative to the aircraft. The short answer, and the only one I can give unfortunately, is no, as far as I'm aware there is no longer a way to move the distance of the viewpoint from the aircraft. That, and the movable tower view, were very annoyingly and for reasons unknown to me, taken away in FSX. I really miss being able to place a tower-view on roads near my landing/TO aircraft and looking at my place from 'people-on-the-ground' perspective.
