Check it out. From my understanding, this'll be an FSX-Native update of Shupe's 2004-era Dash 7 addon.

I not sure what could be changed, it was already a smooth model least for its age, maybe a complete upgrade, more looking forward to his Ventura model.

I don't think they're really changing anything. Just recompiling with the FSX SDK so that it's truly an FSX native model...so it won't have the props behind clouds issue, and I suppose will support more advanced texturing techniques.

Was one of my favourite aircraft in FS2004. Can't wait for the FSX version!

The props are a easy fix so you may right having more dynamic internal textures, maybe more rounding off the model in places, be interesting to see, not bad for a model built in 2002.

Thanks for the HU Mike, have a look later this after noon, be interesting to compare and see the changes to the screens I did six months back.

Checking it out currently. Posted a few comments on it over at SOH, so hopefully they won't berate me for trying to politely point out a few things.
Now I need to find out if third party repaints (for the FS2004 version) work here...

We had the aircraft in New Zealand - Newmans Air, did a display in 1985 at Wigram, early morning bringing in before the crowds arrived the pilot dropped it on the grass, almost looked he was going to snap the wings off, the aircraft only lasted in the NZ for few years when replaced with the Dash8.

Just downloaded the obligatory Newman's livery to see if it works on this new version. smile.gif

I can't wait to get home and try it. Does it have an updated VC too?

The VC is the same as the FS2004-era model. However, I am asking one of the devs if they will add cockpit glass reflections in the VC, as it seems a bit "open air" to me right now. They said they'll look into it.
