What I have done is reduced all of the high res textures that were 1024x1024 down to 512x512 and in some cases down to 256x256 and 128x128 if possible (things like seat covers, arm rests..things that had little or no detail..). The night textures have been reduced down lower than the day textures as i felt that the gauges were well clear enough with just a very little blurring. When I bought the seasprite I experienced extremely slow load times when going from outside to the VC sometimes taking up to 15-20 seconds to be able to see out the windows,..by which time I was a schmeer on the landscape so that prompted me to have a go at making an otherwise superb model flyable again !. The file is called " AlphaSeaspriteVCTextures1.zip " and should be available in a day or so on Flightsim.com

Adrian.

I was sure this model had the best of the best , but it was stumped by the frame rate

In a Multiplay last night , Adrian- Blake - Ian .. oh that,s me smile.gif tried and tested

Simply the best .. smooth as SEASPRITE !

Really enjoying this model, but slightly disappointed that they didn't do their research to find out what the avionics specs of our SH-2G's are. There are a number of things in the cockpit which are completely in the wrong place compared to in real life, and then there is the fact that it still has the Tac/Nav station in the back which ours don't have! I love how it flies, and sounds. I should really be less nit-picky!

biggrin.gif I think you aloud to be picky , the one thing Alphasim lost touch with the forum was general chat and design flaws or simply a good chin wag , this the thing Adrian has fix to make it more friendly to the low end PC , I'm hoping Phil from Alpha will stop by at the Tauranga Airshow cool.gif

Did you try the sling load cable entry stuff with it,..got to be careful picking up too heavy objects with it lol,..end up lying on the starboard side of the chopper chewin on the dirt !

Dont know ,..can get the old man to ask on tuesday when he goes back to work,..he used to run 6 Sqd so will know who to ask. I used the sling load tutorial mission in FSX with the seasprite and my sligload data and it worked well...that is when i could actually hook something which im still pretty darnation at lol

I turned the sensitivity on my joystick right down, almost to minimum. Makes it much easier to fly. Previously it was almost impossible to hold it in a hover with the slightest nudge sending it running off wildly in that direction - good fun for fast low flying, but absolutely darnation for slow/hover work. It's not perfect now but it's a darn sight better!

Awww- but that's part of the fun, breaking into a sweat trying to hover on default settings laugh.gif A bug for me is that I have never had a working collective lever. Does anyone know whether this is a fault of the addon or just me???? blush.gif
