I thought I would show you guys my progress so far, with help from a recently acquired Photoshop CS5, and FS Panel Studio on it's way:

Gauges shown are just images, and I am using Gavin's photo as a reference biggrin.gif

Much of the panel is still incomplete, i.e. window frames, MFD frames, etc..

I'm working on it all night tonight, so I'll update before I go to bed smile.gif

Cheers, Dan radar.gif

Thank you smile.gif I'll need good reference and research, the gauges will have to be custom made to suit the new cockpit winkyy.gif

Here's an update for the bitmap:

New caution lights, better PFD frame/casing... & other minor stuff New_Zealand_etc.gif

Dan , what model and PC version of FS are you building the panel for , Clive Ryan did a photo real panel for Adrian,s FS2000/FS2002 , very good resolution for the cockpit window frames , another took the photos , maybe you want to contact Clive or Steve

FS2000 Lockheed Hercules C130 Panel

Name: hercpnl.zip Size: 5,706,914 Date: 08-21-2001 Downloads: 9,143
FS2000 Lockheed Hercules C130 High Resolution Photoreal Panel. This panel was designed from a series of flight deck photos taken in the RNZAF Hercules NZ 7002 by Steve Moore. The panel includes all interior views along with a flight engineer's view. Many of the gauges have been repainted to convey the realistic appearance of this panel and to give the feeling that you are really flying a Herc.

Dan, it's looking good. I'm not sure what size you are doing the artwork in, but a good hint for getting nice graphics - make the master graphic bigger (upwards of double the size of what you intend) and downsize it to produce the final copy.

Thanks Deane, I'm working at 1600x1200, I think that's pretty big? Most people are at 1280x1024 or smaller I think, my monitor is 1900x1200 biggrin.gif I can up the resolution upon request though, depending on the sizes of peoples screens biggrin.gif

@Ian, I have seen that panel when I was searching, it has some excellent reference, but I'll be drawing everything from scratch I think biggrin.gif Thanks for the HU winkyy.gif

Update:

Almost completed the overhead etc.. hopefully start gauging it up by tomorrow or thursday biggrin.gif

Cheers, Dan winkyy.gif

Still a lot to go though.. biggrin.gif will keep you posted winkyy.gif

Yip, I don't quite get what you mean..? huh.gif

The Clive Ryan photos would help give your window frames exactly smack on the nose , our RNZAF C130s have recently had a glass cockpit upgrade , the question was , this a 'J' variant or a our upgrade .

Great stuff Dan, looking awesome. Are these custom gauges you've programmed yourself or are you using someone elses and positioning/sizing them?
