Previously many of you downloaded the pre-release of the single control Cresco. I have now produced three more models in dual control as well as enhancing the first three. You can download the full (new) package here:

www.avsim.com search file library for "Cresco"

This package contains six diffrent aircraft and I recommend that those who have the original package delete it and install this one. As well as the additional dual control aircraft the following enhancements have been made:
- Improved prop texture
- Improved bump mapping (gets rid of rogue rectangular patches)
- Addition of checklist and reference guides
- Addition of passenger seat views
- Minor changes to textures
- Minor changes to aircraft configuration file to make flight dynamics more accurate

The earlier release did not highlight many issues, so I'm confident that all the bugs have been sorted. I'll await any feedback, before uploading the file to the major sites soon.

Sorry Adamski - no working CD player though sad.gif

Above all enjoy!

W-H-A-T??? laugh.gif ... seriously though, you deserve a Kiwi Oscar for the Cresco ... so long as you don't do a Gwyneth Paltrow and weep into the Pavlova!

THANKS AGAIN

smooth landings.

Gee - this thing is awesome! clapping.gif
Thank you so much for sharing this gem!

Took a few spins above Rotorua (this is the RealNZ 2004 rendition which works pretty well in FSX):

With zero load, I very much enjoyed its fighter-like agility... thumbup1.gif
Perhaps not one of the prettiest aircraft ever built, but it certainly has some hopper loads of charme!

Outstanding work, Deane! notworthy.gif

Cheers,
Markus.

Thanks for the feedback guys. One thing I forgot to change was the manufacturer name. Technically it should be "Pacific Aerospace Corporation" or "PAC" in the selection menu. I had it as just "Aerospace" so I could find it quickly at the top of the pile when test flying. If you want to change this, then edit this line "ui_manufacturer=Aerospace" for each of the three entries in both aircraft.cfg files

Am I imagining it, or does the C of G actually change after a "dump"?

Yes it does change. The C of G of the Hopper is slightly rear of the C of G of the aircraft, so you need lots of up trim initially and then constant nose down trim as the load is released, just like the real thing. If this is annoying then you could change the location of the load to make it centred perfectly with the aircraft C of G. To do this you need to change the aircraft.cfg file and make the -0.2 value 0.0

[Water Ballast System]
//Tank.n = Gallons, Long, Lat, Vert, iValve
//2 ton = 2000 litres = 520 Gallons
//1800 kg = 1800 litres = 468 Gallons

Tank.0 = 468, -0.2, 0.0, 0.0, 2 //Hopper
NumberOfReleaseValves = 1
DumpRate = 5.0 //Gallons per second

No ... not annoying at all ... I just thought it was realistic! thumbup1.gif

I expect this would happen to all FS aircraft when fuel gets used, but we never notice it, as it'd never be as quick as dumping ballast <?>.

Still trying to download it from Filefactory. The website keeps timing out after I do the Captcha and get the download link. Any other options?

I'm sure Deane won't mind <?> - I've put it up (temporarily) on NZFSIM. I'll take it down once the usual FS sites have got it.

EDIT: Links now removed as Deane's uploaded the final (!) version to Avsim (yay!).
