Looking more and more like FSX on steroids. A good thing for addon developers perhaps. Cheers for the link

I am slowly warming to this MS flight. A vans aircraft would be a welcome addition to the fleet. I read on the A2A forums that Microsoft have been in descussion with the A2A team and all though the contents of that discussion where obiously top secret, one can only wish they were a fly on the wall at that moment. Scott said that they were extremely happy with the discussions with MS. Its good to see that MS are talking to addon leaders such as A2A during the development of Flight, probably forging new relations or evan asking A2A how to make a flight sim aircraft work so darn well. I'm sure its one reason why A2A releases have slowed somewhat. Maybe they have two jobs to do at the moment. One can only wonder.

Having all the A2A products bar one , yeah you would have guest it , the Piper Cub , ... a Vans aircraft wont end up in my hanger , A2A should stick with Accsim WWII and incoming F104 and the long waited F4 Phantom .

Some more interesting tid-bits in those screen shots.
Shot 5 has what appears to be vegetation running down the edges of the stream- Contrast this to how FSX handles ALL stream lines now (i.e. excludes autogen along stream lines which isn't always realistic). Notice also that in screen 1, the autogen does appear to be cropped from near the stream line. This indicates there are at least 2 types of stream to choose from?
The coast line/wave effect in shot 2 looks superb and the masking of the beach areas looks better (presumably these are still just a line feature with an associated beach mask?)
The cliffs in shot 4 and 5 show better handling of texture mapping on steep slopes (i.e. The mapping changes over a certain threshold)
Not too much to go on though

Wouldn't be surprised if they arent talking to Capt Sim at least ...they did work on the Acceleration pack for FSX (F18)...I believe Orbx and PMDG are somehow invloved with Flight

Great to hear they're talking to the right people!
I wonder whether we'll finally get airfields/runways on a slope?

Ive been doing a lot of reading and it seems to me that MS Flight will be tied into a MS flight addon shop utilising MS live. It would be silly for MS to launch "flight" without having an addon service up and running if that is their plan. A number of addon companys have been signing non disclosure agreements with MS so it is kind of obvious what is happening. If orbx is working with MS then that would explain their 2011 slowdown as well. I have also read a post from Mathis at Aerosoft saying that they are not at all happy with how MS are going about doing Flight and will now be starting a transition to fully support Xplane10. However he has been known to say things like this before. Speculation, Speculation ,Speculation.

That cliff face deatil almost seem like some form of tessalation. In pic 4 you can see the lod of that rocky face fade away to the feft hand side of the pic. Also the water detail at the base of the cliff looks amazing.

It s not a decision not hard to make , Xplane lives in the 2004 days , one thing for sure MS really kneecapped them-self if rumours are true ! But i would say FSX has so much to build on , Aerosoft , well maybe mentioned something out of context .
