Friends,

We now have a full systems simulation (barring the pressurization system) of the Tu-154b2 aircraft!

This was produced through the efforts of Project Tupolev and Kirill Konovalov, and features:

Almost full systems simulation of this Russian jetliner.
Fully clickable VC.
2D cockpit.
Numerous 3D gauges.
Custom sounds.
Other stuff that I have to look into yet.

Official Announcement:
http://www.protu-154.net/forum/viewtopic.php?t=12373

Direct link: http://files.protu-154.net/pt-154b2_fsx.html

Flight manual is a must read in order to operate this aircraft. After installation, it is located here:

X:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\Project Tupolev\documents FS9\pttu154_94eng.pdf

It's for the 2004 version, but everything applies.

It sure is on both counts!

For those interested, give me a couple days to get back up to speed with some of the finer points of the 154b2, and I will happily assist anyone with learning to fly it!

Dean, and anybody else,

If you want help with it, ask away in this thread. The manual is your best bet at first (at least the "quick startup" *cough*) section, but if you have any general questions, ask away. (Except RSBN navigation....it's not worth learning.)

Just a quite note that this is actually considered a "beta" release, though with this level of complexity, that's mostly irrelevant.

The primary niggles that will be adjusted in the future include:

Full overhead panel click-ability (currently must switch to 2d window of overhead for full functionality)
Some eye candy additions and modeling adjustments.
Really nothing else that would modify the systems other than any bugs that are found, which are extremely minimal and mostly irrelevant to the enjoyment of the aircraft at this point.

Just noting that since the SOH crowd got upset that I didn't say it was a "beta" though it's mostly irrelevant. That crowd lost interest anyway since it's complex.

That was probably not authorized to be uploaded to SimV, and has been available for nearly a year from here:

Updated the original post with the official announcement on PT forums.

Bonus news, apparently the old 2004 era B2 textures work on this one! (Haven't tried them yet....)

Here's the official announcement again:

Through the very rough translation services of Google Translate, there appears to be some mention of the next big Russian experience being a full conversion, now with a VC, of PT's Ilyushin Il-62 aeroplane on the Avsimrus forums.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ilyushin_Il-62

The translation says "parallel projects" so I don't know if that's indicative of the 62 coming relatively soon.

We have a couple of brand new repaints available now:

First, we have CCCP-8513, which, according to my book and some online photo references is actually a Tu-154B model (not B-2)....construction number 75A131. It's sister ship 85130 was manufactured on December 24, 1975, so this one was likely completed a couple days after Christmas 1975. It's sporting it's Soviet-era Aeroflot livery, and can now be found parked at a technical college.
http://avsimrus.com/f/fsx-aircraft-liverie...beta-41474.html
If someone wants me to explain the model differences in the 154 series, let me know.

Our second livery is Belavia (Belarussian airline) EW-85706, which in the real world is a Tu-154M, construction number 91A881. Formerly CCCP-85706. It's sister ship 705 was manufactured on August, 8th, 1991, so this one probably came out in the middle of the month from Tupolev OKB.
Belavia operated 24 154 series aircraft (B-1 through M) from Mink-2 Airport and Gomel airport.

This may help with the start-up for those learning.
What you are about to view is not actually from a real Tu-154. You are about to view a full and complete Tu-154 home simulator cockpit that uses real Tu-154 gauges programmed to interface with FS.
I don't even want to think about how much work was involved in getting that to work!

Also....I want one....really, really bad.....this sim is amazing:

Startup Video:
http://www.youtube.com/user/RA85535#p/a/u/1/ln9E8bQr2hg

Note: He messes with cockpit/cabin pressurization later in the video. That's not applicable to our version for FSX.

I'd be in heaven if someone brought out a good IL-62 and IL-76 for FSX. smile.gif

As I mentioned further up in the thread, there is an IL-62 in progress that I think will be excellent. From my understanding, it's the same team that did this FSX 154 version....as in....Project Tupolev and Kirill Konovalov.
(This is going off of a rough Avsim.ru forum translation.)

Not sure on any IL-76 developments unfortunately. That would indeed be a neat one to have!

ATTENTION:

I just sent out a PM to a few members regarding a training and discussion place for aircraft like this. Well, the turnaround on the other forum was extremely quick, and I now have "Sean's Russian Flying School" set up at on this forum board:

http://www.aviationcafe.co.uk/Index/index.php

You'll see it below the Microsoft Flight Simulation area.

This is for users interested in Russian and Eastern European aviation, and for users looking for help with the Tu-154 and other Russian/Eastern types.
