Looks like the Wilco 737 classic evolution release will be out at the end of November, and it finally has its own product page...
http://www.wilcopub.com/catalog/product/vi...ion/category/4/

Finally we'll have a native FSX model, the screenshots look good, lovely VC, the 2D panel looks great, nice exterior detailing. Cosmetically its a big step up from the original release. Looking FWD to this one.

Note for current owners of the Wilco 737: looks like we'll only have a week or so at release time to claim a discount on the new release. Watch this space

I will stick with my , the PMDG and for the Classic the Captain Sim 100/200 for which i cannot wait to get the early cockpit to emulate the classic Air New Zealand flight from Christchurch to Queenstown from the well known Video History of the 737 in the NZ . ... With me saying to my invisible friend beside me ... 'well that,s another one we walked away from Simon' biggrin.gif

Yeah good call re the PMDG Ian, its a beauty for a commercial airliner, but I guess if you truely do want a 737 300-500 (aka Classic tongue.gif) as flown by AirNZ today then this new Wilco looks pretty good.

Strange how airlines sell to the customer ... our 737s and over the years , mince the words

737 100/200 considered the 'Classics' in 1984/85 ... they were 1967s to 84 the originals due to engines and layout , in all publications i have here .

737 300/400/500 considered the 'Next Generation' ... the 1984/85 with the CFM56 and total redesign of gear and the add of updated avionics

737 600/700/800/900 the 'New Generation' which with many changes in construction and glass cockpit , winglets .

Guess the old 'Memory of Convenience' again not in course to say many missed out on the old original 737 type , now to appease the general public ... lets change class indent to make em feel better , all Classic 67s ... now by Captain Sim the ' NOSTALGY' class rolleyes.gif .. 25 years ago were known as the Classic .

Be hard ask to put up with this after the PMDG product. I wonder how functional the FMC is.

all I hope is that the systems are well modelled and the FDE is ok. certainly looks promising so far, and the old Wilco was pretty good really

The Wilco 737 EVO has been released. Comments/reviews are trickling in...
http://forum.avsim.net/topic/356336-hu-737...able-as-of-now/

Some criticism of the VC detail, sound pack and textures but feedback seems reasonable so far. I have a missus-imposed embargo on credit-card spending till pay-day so wont be buying it till the end of the week, but I WILL be buying it as the old Wilco refuses to run in my new FSX rig.

Have they actually said they're doin one? Would make sense wouldnt it given they have the 100/200 chassis, I'd just be happy to see them finish that to be honest

Not sure but I hope they make it when they finish the 100/200.

Funny Dean smile.gif ,while on holiday i found the book , the 300/400/500 was called the 'New Generation' and course current the 'Next' , making the 100/200 the Classic ... I had Greg around here last and put it to him and used the 747 as the example , those early 100/200/SP's are called the Classic even putting the 300 in the same category , the 400 being so different with the reduction of dials /switch,s and crew , so makes that the second generation now with the 800 series out being so different again .

The Wilco PIC EVO patch is now out, a little hard to find though, you need to log in at the website, go to your product downloads page and download the new full v1.1 installer.
Lots of annoying things fixed (they claim 140 changes) which is good. Still need to check if the LNAV probs have been resolved but so far everything else looking ok. Not any cosmetic changes that I can see, mostly functional.

Dean , Ive kept my eyeballs out for that 'CLASSIC' 100/200 series 737 , she still hangered awaiting to put the cockpit together ... maybe because it is the 'classic' they forgot how to put it back together again .

LOL, give it up Ian laugh.gif you do realise you're the only person on the planet who refers to them as classics right
