Dont know how I missed this one EC145
Looks nice but seems to have some of those Icaro issues with respect to instrumentation.

The ICARO offerings always seem to have more to them than meets the eye (though it's not a bad looker)

Like the 135 it's a rework of earlier models, but there's more gauge programming, and probably not a bad idea to RTFM.
(Load a Cold + Dark Cessna first, etc)
It seems to have all the switches and bits:

Although I haven't quite managed to get Engine #2 N1 above 60% for some reason...

EDIT: CP I see your heading is FS9 despite the FSX sticker , which is why I posted.
Don't know if there's an FSX release yet - they have done an EC135 though.

Ah yes... Kenneth, Sean, chaps with What it Takes.
And they didn't even have a "Y" key!
Mind you, dropping this bird from one foot six inches AGL only starts the one engine!
Some clever XML coding inside there...

With mention of engine startup , programed to only start via the correct procedure , the Nemeth CH-53 can some times be a mission but i'm not go to kick my FS PC or get a grumpy bulldog , it would just scare Marsbar away biggrin.gif

It's very nice, this model, and like other ICARO gets better as you learn to know it.

As to starting it:
Once you've done Everything the manual says, you as an experienced helicopter pilot are left to figure out that you need BOTH throttles advanced with mouse in the VC.
Flies like a dream, very powerful (on 2 engines that is)

Well there we go . biggrin.gif had a choice between my to bikes , one the 900 which i preferred and the 1100 .. now two hand grip throttles ... that would have pushed the 1100 well over 230 HP ... nah would not be here today ripping that through Raewiti cool.gif .. course the 5 ta 6 more 5 from Welly to Auckland on the two wheels , i could have layed back with time to spare cool.gif

No amount of throttling is going to help the earth-bound here... my 145 would be there and back!
Tell you what though: while it's no C130, it has these clamshell doors, and you could lose the stretcher.
Probably enough room to fit a Fat Boy.

Nice looking chopper (and shots)...the EC-145 is a newer version of the Bk-117 which is used across NZ by rescue services, although the ARHT is going to replace their BK-117 with AW-169s...no doubt they were looking at EC-145s as well.

Yes, interestingly the model has this manual on the coping:

although there is not much left in common with the BK117.
It is wider, longer, has a new rotor, uprated engines, and of course the glass cockpit.

And an export order that dreams are made of, supplying USD3 Billion worth of "Lakotas" to the US Army.
