Lockheed Hudson - Electra from FSAADon released , very cheap and we have NZ registered with sweet on frames , Super Electra and Loadstar also in the package , see many Kiwi paints for this coming up for this one , reasonable quick and short field capable so be ideal to explore sceney's .... of to Wigram shortly with AdeP- ill get some good shots for a photo paint . Post some screen later tonight .

Was that the one developed by the guy we saw at the Tauranga airshow a couple of years ago?

Until Ian returns from his outing and posts a link and pics, I'm gonna assume its this one??

Looks like a fun model, lots of nifty viewpoints, a bunch of screenies on the shop site above, and a video of the Electra on the developer site too, seems like a nice sound-pack...

to be fair it doesnt really look like much of an improvement on the Alphasim/Virtavia Hudson which is a solid model with pretty generic and basic texturing inside and out...much the same as this offering

Far better than the Alphasim job .. VC is much better and you have different positions course all the different models including the transports .. good thing its cheap as chips , could not get inside wiggys Hudson today , they were setting up for a function for tomorrow we go early just to reshoot the external .

Over the last couple of days we now probably 400 plus plus external photos , myself and Adrian Petford using different cameras in again at Wiggy early this morning ,
Ade with his Cannon SLR and me with a very old Sony Mavica , ideal for very close up details but distance shots .... hmm not so good

Now the job to glue them all together to build a photo real paint of the Wigram Museum Hudson Hanger Queen

With the old Sony the closer you get it really starts to show detail , these as you can see just are'nt up to scratch

Nice pics Ian ..... boy, i have to get back out there , she looks like it needs a dust. Remember, if you want some internal detail shots i can get them. The restoration inside of that thing is just amazing , its a shame it cant be viewed .

That would be great ! , asked Barf about getting inside , course has to be arranged but later to the function held today and sorting the mess around it currently .

Great stuff Ian. Looking FWD to the repaint. I bought the model this morning and took her for a spin from Wigram (which is a grass runway in NZSI? isnt it still sealed?)

Dean , been dug up in most places .. both ends .. not much of it left , they have left enough room for over the border so to speak ( area around the museum and a bit further back ) is big enough for some types , keeping a space also for model aircraft ( how long that will last ) , had look around so i was told that could be used for air traffic and recent - had people look at it for that possible use but was simply turned down .

Literary shot to pieces .. , now been doing a little research and ill send these details back to Francisco and Simon , sure they wil be more than will to tweek it a bit .

Great little model and really so longly needed is our Lodestar for the N.A.C and the Fieldair company , I'll send this off to 'Navman' just to see what may be done .
Just couple of small fix's if Simon at FSAD is interested , quite important more to do with the Lodestar . The Hudson MkIII needs to be more in its own class , i think
this is due to Adrian and myself crawling all over one last three days i'm sure he'd be pleased to look at a little patch .

Lockheed Hudson MKIII own defined model

1 - flush cowl .. no small side intake ( have historical and current photos )
2 - also have up to date aerial detail which we would help
This one is going to score a photo real , least as far as we can get from the recent visits Wigram Muesum Visits .

5 Larger issues with the Lodestar Model 18

1 - wingplan form is incorrect , the wing was diriveded from the Lockheed Ventura .
2 - the tailplane is raise and best way of putting it - placed on top off the fuselage then fairing placed , due to lengthing fuselage it coursing buffering .
3 - engine nacelles were so similar to the MKIII Hudson but housed 2000HP - no sign of a intake on the side of the engine cowl , small breather fairing on the front .
4 - the DF loop was housed in a streamline under the fuselage opposite the pilot tube .
5 - due to the extra length (1.68m / 5ft 6") the windows were further spaced
