Ian, they have a 300 on the market already, has been out for some time so nowhere near as detailed as this new 400 release, but still good. Loads of our virtual air New Zealand lads run the majestic 300 (myself included) and love it

From screens ive seen of the Majestic 300 it did not look anything like this recent release ... might have to look further , maybe with this release an upgrade shortly .

It didn't look anything like this because... it came out nearly two years ago, a lot of lessons/practice learned since then I guess, and probably new staff?

The 300 had a similar offering though, base pilot version, pro version with a few extra realism settings and features, and training version that was used to integrate into real world pilot training rigs, pretty comprehensive.
The 400 is going to be offered in similar packages eventually. Pretty snazzy

Are you nuts? $214.95!! No aircraft produced to date is worth this kind of money, and judging by what I see in the images, certainly not this package. And where are the pictures of the exterior of the plane. Remember, Microsoft Flight Simulator X Deluxe Edition only cost $56.00!

yeah well

I bought yesterday before the mad rush thank god, it only took me 6mins to DL, where now people are bitching its going to take several hours to get it

so far i only got the pilot version, wow im impressed, its smooth and fast, next to no frame hit what so ever, i think i will upgrade to the next version via just flight when it comes out

so far im very very very happy with, its quite on par with pmdg without the performance impact

I dont think they will upgrade the 300 Ian as theyre both done by different guys

I too couldnt resist and purchased it last night.
I think it is an awesome model, it is top quality and no frame rate hit.
The sounds and prop visuals alone are worth it (plus the pilot movements).
According to their website, after they have finished releasing the other two -400 models, their next project will be the Dash8 100-300 series.
It will likely be a long time before we see it but it will be worth waiting for.....
In summing up, its quite expensive, but as they say, you get what you pay for.
Now for an ANZ repaint.......... New_Zealand_etc.gif

Cheers
Phil

Well you got Matt with his virtual brush .. i don't think it would take to long to complete the 100/300 series .. are they not similar regard cockpit layout ? unsure.gif

Mmmm, prob will be a while till they do the 100-300 as they have two more versions of the -400 to finish and they have said that it will probably take them a few months to do that.
With regards to the 100/300 cockpit, well they have steam guages so reasonably different, however as they have already done a -300 maybe there are some things they can port over or mod for a new up to date version.
Never the less, I shall remain patient and enjoy the -400 till then....lol

Cheers
Phil

haha great its good to see others using Majestics Dash 8's since I bought the MJ Q300 in 2011 I'v racked up over 100 hrs! - one thing good about Majestics products is that they dont seem to have much of an impact on frame rates

By the way Raddragon whats the sound pack like on the Q400? - I know that the Q300's sound is the best I've ever heard!
